My Background

I’m originally from Texas, but spent a majority of my life in Nebraska. I grew up with four awesome siblings and a mom who instilled her strength in all of us. I have three children who have my endless love and support, a tortoise, and a betta. In my free time, I love spending time with family and learning new things. I recently have been experimenting with photography and have enjoyed taking senior pictures for my niece and nephews.

I have a passion for learning and am a recent graduate of the IT Web Developer program. I have an associate’s degree in business with an emphasis in management and a bachelor’s degree in business as well. I plan to pursue a master’s degree in cybersecurity after gaining a couple of years of experience as a developer.

My work history is diverse and over the years, I have acquired knowledge in various fields. My skills include, but are not limited to human resources, payroll, data analysis, income taxes, supervising, management, project management, website creation, logistics, and process improvement. I currently work for the State of Nebraska and H&R Block.

My Favorite Quote

“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.“

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Process Improvement

My experience with formal process improvement began with Kawasaki. I learned about 5S, KPS, and Kaizen. Through the State of Nebraska, I’ve earned my white and yellow belt in Lean Six Sigma and am a Certified Lean Six Sigma Leader.

Software Skills

My software skills are vast. I’ve worked through software migrations, new software implementations, and have been instrumental in ensuring an effective training process was in place.

Collaborative Approach

I enjoy learning from others and love to teach as well. I like to say “if we all brought the same dish to the potluck, it would be a very boring meal!” Diversity is essential in creating strong teams.
